Watch where water goes
A low spot that stays wet can create problems around the foundation. Look for a location where surface water can move away from the building.
Leave useful access
Think about the route from the driveway, garden or house. If large equipment will enter the shed, make sure the path is wide enough too.
Check boundaries and utilities
Property setbacks, easements and utility locations can affect placement. Confirm local requirements before preparing the site.
Plan the doors around the yard
A well placed door can save steps every time you use the shed. Make sure the swing or opening has enough clear space.
